Chicago South Asian Film Festival 2012
There was a great turnout at the 2012 edition of the Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) and why wouldn’t there be with the great line up of movies this year.
It took place September 20-23rd with movies playing at the Chicago Showplace Icon Theaters and Film Row Cinema At Columbia College Chicago. The opening night film featured the North American premiere of Heroine, starring Kareena Kapoor.
Many notable artists attended the festival and we managed to catch a glimpse of them walking in on the red carpet event that preceded the opening movie. Including stars such as Farooq Sheikh, Lillete Dubey and Adil Hussain.
Even the gorgeous Raveena Tandon, dressed in a Manish Malhotra outfit, came down for her film Shobhna’s 7 Nights, which was the closing night film. She stuck around for a Q&A session with the packed audience after the movie.
I thoroughly enjoyed the four day festival! Can’t wait until next year’s!
