The first Chicago Global Runway fashion show took place on the 24th of June, 2011, featuring designs from Payal Singhal, Akira, the Khubsoorat Collection & Sahar Dada.
Held at the Chicago Cultural Center, the event showcased some of the local designers’ works worn exquisitely by the Ford Models in front of the who’s who of Chicago. A portion of the proceeds from the show were donated to Save a Mother, whose goal is to develop health care solutions to reduce deaths arising from complications in child birth and pregnancy. Great work by the CGR team and Drish Couture Events in putting it all together. Hope to see more successful shows in the years to come!
